"Tuesday, December 1, 2020, the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) will inspire generosity by participating in the annual GivingTuesday campaign with a goal of raising money and awareness for the VPPPA Scholarship Fund.
Every year, the VPPPA offers four scholarships each worth $3,500 to support students who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to safety and health in their schools and communities. This is a membership benefit as only members and their family (child, grandchild, spouse) can apply for the VPPPA scholarships. Learn more about the scholarship program at www.vpppa.org/awards--scholarships.html.
“The VPPPA scholarships have helped so many students over the years,” Stacy Thursby, Chair of the Awards Committee and VPPPA Board member, said. “Typically, we hold a raffle at the annual Safety+ Symposium to raise money for our scholarships. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to hold Safety+ in person this past August. It’s more important than ever that we support the next generation of safety stars.”
VPPPA has a goal of raising $3,500 for the scholarship fund. Visit www.vpppa.org on December 1 to give. All donations are tax-deductible..."
