The New Jersey State Industrial Safety Committee, together with Rutgers School of Public Health, Office of Public Health Practice, Centers for Education and Training is bringing to the comunity a seminar about the Overcoming Hazards Unique to Temporary Workers.
Staffing agencies and host employers are jointly responsible for maintaining a safe environment for temporary workers. The key is effective communication between the agency and the host to ensure that the necessary protections are provided. Most importantly, the host employers must treat temporary workers like any other workers in terms of safety & health protection. Course highlights include joint responsibilities of employers and staffing agencies, training requirements, and developing systems for maintaining safety & health.
