2017 VPPPA Region II Conference Information
The 2017 VPPPA Region II conference will be held at the Tropicana Casino & Resort, 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ, June 26 -28. Our annual conference includes a keynote speaker as well as several speakers and organizations represented in the workshops.
Our mission is to be a leader in health and safety excellence through cooperation among communities, workers, industries and governments. Through our conference we are able to bring information and share experiences together. It is the best place for making conections and learning more about safety and health.
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) safeguard the health of nearly one million employees at 2,200 worksites across America with innovative and adaptable safety and health management systems.

Keynote Speaker
Gary Norland
Gary Norland is a husband, father, electrician and speaker.
Gary spent several years traveling and working various jobs in construction. He eventually went to work as a union maintenance electrician for his local pulp and paper mill, no more travel, a good income and stability.
He was a healthy 6’3” 240 pound man who loved his work. His attitude was always about getting the job done. But one day his life changed when he was electrocuted by a 12,500 volt 200 amp overhead power line.
He is here today to share with you how hard work and dedication to your job should be a focus, but not your only focus. Gary wants others to understand that if you don’t take safety seriously; your life could resemble his in less than a second.
